This Summer the island of Maui will be packed! Covid restrictions are opening up. This past spring break of 2021 was very busy and tourists struggled to find car rentals, reservations at busy restaurants due to limited capacity seating, and available spaces for activities such as boat tours. International travel is limited. Maui was always a premier destination and never more so than now! Californians and many others from around the country have moved to Maui, or stay for an extended period of time. Home prices have gone up approx 20 percent! Rentals are more scarce, and prices on everything and anything have gone up!
Be prepared for a rental car shortage and very high prices. Restaurants are booked out two months in advance.
The CDC has remarked that less than 10% of the covid cases were transferred outside which helps ease fears around catching it at the beach. Hope to see you here this Summer and enjoy the UV rays that help fight the corona!
